Off the Devon coast a ship containing peoples belongings has been shipwrecked resulting in cargo containers being washed onto the beach. No it is not right. Although they have been washed up, they still belong to someone. Surely this should be classed as stealing.
I believe you mean the ONE container with the Swedish Ladies belongings in it? Most of it would have been ruined by the sea anyway and subject to and Insurance claim so the people that took some of it actually probably saved it

It doesn't seem right if its your stuff they are carting away. Mind you the insurance pays for most of it. If the stuff is just going to be thrown in a skip well its better to collect it and recycle it by using it. I lived in a village once where a lorry load of eggs crashed.
