Cargo van - What is this thing called?

My husband has an econoline cargo van for his business. Between the seats, attached to the dash, there is a large round ';console'; - is that the correct term? It is just a large open, semi circle where he piles all kinds of junk. I would love to find some thing to help organize this area, but whenever I type in ';console';, I just find boxy organizers designed to fit on the floor. Does anyone know if I'm using the correct term for this van part and of some way or thing to help organize it for him?Cargo van - What is this thing called?

Don't forget about organizing other parts of the van and possibly eliminating some of the stuff he throws into that center console. For instance, I have one of these map cases and I LOVE it. it has cut down so much on things falling out of my glove compartment:

That part is the engine cover. Any van customizing center, or your local Ford dealer can supply a variety of engine cover customizing acccesories such as cup holders, storage, entertainment centers, etc.
It's called the engine cover
It's the engine cover or as refered to by some, the dog house.
Well...it sounds like a console to me, but I would check with the dealer to see if there is anything offered like what you are wanting. Most organizers are made to take up the empty space between the front seats, so it might be tough to find a round one. If the dealer does have something, you can usually find something similar on-line at eBay or by googling it. Good Luck!
