I was wandering if the criteria would be different when getting employed by a cargo company. I would not mind flying 737's packed of cargo, I just wanto to fly airliners overseas but would be wickedly awesome just domestic. I live in Australia.Cargo Pilot Criterea?
Same criteria except for customer service skills. Cargo never complains about the turbulence or the landing.Cargo Pilot Criterea?
Yup it's the same either hauling People or Boxes
The critera is both the same for commercial and cargo. The only difference is commerical you are flying people and cargo you are fling freight. I worked both as a commercial and as a Cargo pilot. The weight and takeoff restrictions are more strigient that commercial. I'd perfer commerical versus cargo. I love dealing with passengers.
The minimum criteria is the same. CPL (Commercial Pilots License) and enough hours %26amp; experence to easily get a Type Rating in the plane you want to fly, .... But to blow out the chafe( reduce the resume list) more are requiring a current Type Rating in categority and class
After a while it doesn't matter if the cargo walks or not you just point the nose and go. Sometimes it's easier with boxes.
The criteria for cargo pilots and passenger pilots are the same, you need to have a current CPL (Commercial Pilots License) and then probably enough hours on type for any airline (cargo or passenger) to hire you. Hope this helps
