When I start up there is an ongoing rattle from somewhere to left of driver. After a while this stops and all is fine. Has anyone got any idea what this could be? I have heard a similar noise on other vanettesStrange noise on Nissan Vanette Cargo 1999?

it could be the clutch release bearing try stating it with your foot on the clutch if there is no noise you have found the fault
are you sure its not your Mrs. Mine never shuts up either
