Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?

It depends which airline and which airport and who you organised the flight through. If it is a small airport sometimes they come straight into the luggage area (not on the carousel though, lol). In larger airports pets are usually handled by the airline's freight department which is usually in a different building, even sometimes away from the airport.

But don't stress, if you have already booked the flight, contact whoever you booked through. If you haven't, make sure you ask when you are booking. It'll be fine.Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
First of all, what is the size of your dog? If it is a small dog--get a Sherpa bag. Most airlines will allow you to travel with a small dog and place it under the seat. If it is a larger sized dog, it will need to be crated and put in with the cargo area. There are special rules and reguolations for all of this. FAA also has restrictions on when a live animal can fly. Also, I highly suggest you call the airline. If you havent--and plan to fly with your dog--this won't work. There are proceedures you must follow.

Keep in mind, If your dog IS A SERVICE DOG for the disabled, then it can travel with you--in the cabin.

If your dog will need to go under in cargo, consult with your vetnarian for any pre-flight dos and don'ts etc.

Good luck Hope this helps.Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
If he is traveling as checked baggage, you will pick him up near the luggage carousel or at the airline's desk near the carousel. If he is flying as unaccompanied cargo, you will have to go to the cargo area which is generally not in the terminal.
They are good to give you directions. They will tell you when you check him in, and when you land..Don't worry.
You can recieve him in the oversize cargo area like where u get your baggage...no worries
ask the airline!???
