Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?

there is a cargo net in the final obstacle course, in the US i think it's 30m, UK i think a little shorter.

forgive me, but it just doesn't look that hard! yet all the contenders, even Trojan, seem to have serious difficulty with it, and are often exhausted after climbing it.

help me out here...is it not just like climbing a ladder??Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
No, it's not just like climbing a ladder. A ladder is rigid, a cargo net is not, so it moves around quite a bit, which makes climbing it much harder. On a ladder, all of the force that you exert with your legs to push up is used to push you up, because the ladder doesn't move. On a cargo net however, a lot of the force that you exert with your legs to push up is lost making the net tight enough that you actually move. Then there's the fact (this is where I think Trojan had the most difficulty) that because the ropes move on you, if you aren't really careful, you can simply put your foot through the net if you aren't right on target.

The US cargo net in Season 1 (currently airing in the UK) was 20 feet. The Cargo Net in the US Season 2 (which I believe that you guys will see around december) is 30 feet tall.Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
it is part of an obstacle course and think its climbing the rope combined with the other things they have to do is what tires them out
hahahaha thats so funny.. im in the uk and always on the edge of my seat when they cant get up the cargo net.. they are ****.. thats ur answer... it really isnt hard
Are you serious? Try climbing one and then answer you own question!
