Who cares what in or out of style, if you like them and you feel good in them you go and wear them, forget what others think!! I personally like them especially with a good pair of timbs, but like i say if they make you happy that's all that should matter!!!Are Cargo Pants (the ones for girls) still in style?
umm no! go with some cute pants from hollister, theyre comfy, casual and totally cute!
www.hollisterco.comAre Cargo Pants (the ones for girls) still in style?
Mmmm... Don't really know,
But i know that skinny jeans are in style.
Yes, just as long as the pockets aren't too big. You know the ones take go down half the pant leg.
xoxo
Yes. I think cargos are the cutest pants out for ladies, especially in capris!
I really dislike these pants on girls. They add bulk to a girl's body, and I am pretty sure no woman wants added bulk. Also, they are dang near imnpossible to keep from looking shabby and worn down.
if you want them to be i mean you dont have to be in style at all times
who cares?
i love cargo pants,and i don't care if i'm ';fashionable'; or not.
if you like them,wear them!
i reccomend lucky brand jeans.
they have awesome cargo pants too
Anything is in style if you want it to be. And if its not the make it your style.
If you want them to be. Don't conform just because some magazine says it is cool.
Nope...not right now!
yes
they will always be in style but not the skin tight wrinkled ones I am not sure about thoes.
Yes, as long as the girls wearing them aren't carrying too much cargo.
i think they are. i love cargo pants. theyre cute, comfy and .. yea i just like them.
no..of course not..you don't actually wear them do you? God help us if you do.

Can anybody send hot drinks viz Whisky etc for personal use by shipping cargo from Indonesia to Singapore?
I have 4 - 5 bottoles of whisky i.e. Chivas Regal %26amp; Johny Walker for personal use. I want to know whether these I can be send to Singapore from Indonesia by shipping cargo along with my other house hold items. Can anybody send hot drinks viz Whisky etc for personal use by shipping cargo from Indonesia to Singapore?
Of course you can. However you will need to declare them and pay for import duty at Singapore. The Singapore Customs Department will be able to tellyou the rate of duty payable.
Your forwarding agent in Indonesia should be able to help you.Can anybody send hot drinks viz Whisky etc for personal use by shipping cargo from Indonesia to Singapore?
friend, dont play, play in Singapore. you have to declare the contents of the Cargo correctly. and if you don't they may still find out what are inside and you might get into real trouble. at the least, you would have to pay the duties for the alcohol.
Sure you can. But you must declare the content in the declaration forms and pay the duties on them at the customs. Otherwise, they will be withheld by them for a year and auction off if you do not pay.

Can a person in the cargo hold, be able to transverse to the passenger area while the craft is in flight.?
in these airplane hijacking movies the ';bad guys'; are always hiding in the cargo hold...could this really be done or is this hollywoodCan a person in the cargo hold, be able to transverse to the passenger area while the craft is in flight.?
It varies. Most airliners can be ordered either with or without an access hatch between the passenger cabin and the cargo spaces. Some do, and others don't. (There are always access panels, but in many cases you have to take up the carpet and unbolt a panel. These are opened only during major maintenance on the aircraft.)
The cargo holds of virtually all airliners are pressurized and can be occupied safely by people and animals. I wish people would not post answers about things they don't know about.
So the correct answer is, ';Yes and no, usually...';Can a person in the cargo hold, be able to transverse to the passenger area while the craft is in flight.?
On certain large jumbo aircraft, you can access the cargo hold from the cabin.
If the cargo hold is unpressurized, you're going to pass out from lack of oxygen, or freeze.
Contrary to the other post, the human body won't ';explode'; in an unpressurized hold, at normal airliner altitudes. WWII bombers flew at the same altitudes with completely unpressurized crew areas. They just hooked up to the oxygen, and carried on.
That crap is science fiction, just like the cargo door in the movie Air Force 1.
All passenger aircraft have pressurized and heated cargo holds. If they didn't, your feet would be very cold, like flying on a C130 with the underfloor heat inop.
All of the liquids in you luggage would also freeze and any pressurized cans would pop.
The cargo bays are lined (fully enclosed). It would take tools to get through them. Floor beams are about 2 feet apart, but the space under (or through) them is chock full of stuff- poer lines, fuel lines to the APU, water and waste lines, control wires and/or cables, hydraulics, etc. You would have to cut through a lot of stuff to get through there, unless you ordered an access hatch- most airlines don't.
It is possible from the lower forward cargo area but not from the aft. All cargo hold areas are pressurized on modern aircraft.
As Avio said, it depends on the airplane. They're not all unpressurized or unheated; how do you think you ship animals?
No, in most planes the cargo hold is not pressurized so they would explode all over your luggage.
it can be done, all the bad guys got to do is hold on to the cargo and then shoot the good guys!

How much tonage of cargo can a galleon vessel from the 1700s carry? (And state source if you have one.)?
From what I come up with, galleons were generally superseded by other types of cargo vessels by the 1700s (18th century). East Indiamen (17th and 18th century) and Clippers (mid-18th century to mid-19th century)(1,2)
';. . . from the mid 1500s until the end of the 1600s. . .';
';The medium galleon's hull design allows it to carry some 500 tons of cargo, which is 30% more than narrower ships of similar length. ';(2)
BTW: Note: a ship's tonnage was related to its cargo carrying capacity. The ton did not actually refer to a ship's weight, but to its volume: a ton was a large container used primarily for shipping wine; it held about 950 liters, which today is just short of a metric ton of liquid.(3)

Can a cargo van fit a Ca King size bed?
I've looked up the door opening size on uhaul's website, and they have it listed as 4'1'; by 4'8';. Which is too small for my bed, but the mattress is flexible so I don't think I would know for sure till I tried. So I am looking for anyone who has actually tried to bend the mattress into that opening. My mattress is about 14'; thick as well. Can a cargo van fit a Ca King size bed?
I think it's doable if you are not transporting much else. If not, get a bigger UHaul truck.

It depends what the wedges look like but if you look in the mirror and think they look bad, try matching colored flip flops or cute flats. You cant go wrong with those two! What kind of shoe would go best with cargo capris?
aaahhh, Britt521 stole my answer, lol, but yeah, flats or flip flops will work (that's what i wear with cargo capris), good luck!! =)
They would if u have like a dressy top...but anything could go with cargo pants...Air Forces, Converse, Heels, Flip Flops, Spearys...etc...u just have to have the right accessories and a cute top thats n the same style with the shoes...
Emo/Punk...Converse
Grown/Sexc...Heels
Beachy/Preppy...Flip Flops
Casual...Air Forces
Preppy/Girly...Spearys or Highlanders as some people call them!!!
flats
yeah they will look nice actually. gives the cargo a feminine touch.
Bear traps.
Cargo capris?! Eww. Go with Daisy Dukes and burn your ugly pseudo-pants, for the love of GOD.
Nothing with a back. The less you see with capris, the better. Since capris are supposed to show off your ankles, you don't want your shoes to be all clunky. A simple sandal works best.
Try a simple black slingback stiletto heel. That would look classy, but not overly so.

Does anybody know the difference between Max. Cargo Capacity and Max. Luggage Capacity for automobiles??
I am comparing SUVs for potential purchase I would like to know the difference in this specification.Does anybody know the difference between Max. Cargo Capacity and Max. Luggage Capacity for automobiles??
This is a guess, but I would think that max cargo capacity would imply the weight of all cargo, including passengers, so the combination of the full interior of the vehicle. Max Luggage capacity would be the size of the area where luggage and other items would be placed to transport it. It would be like... in a sedan type car...the size of the trunk... but with an SUV, there is usually a rear area plus a rack on the top of the vehicle... that rack on top would add to the possible capacity for carrying luggage or other items for transporting them, but of course you couldn't put passengers up there... well I suppose you could, but it wouldn't be pretty! *imagining the dog's face while he's hanging his head out the window compared to him being bungee'd to the roof* YIKES!

Is there any law for preventing cargo van/share autos in narrow streets of residential areas- chennai, india?
hi
i have a big problem with my neighbor who parks his commercial van and share auto in the street entrance(which is no way near his residence) which block my car entry to my house.
Since its a practice for more than 10yrs they are never co-operating and always disturbing my car entry inside the street. Spoke with twice about this but after 3days this problem is repeated. What to do?Is there any law for preventing cargo van/share autos in narrow streets of residential areas- chennai, india?
Just keep letting their tyres down!
They won't be able to prove it and slowly they will get the hint that they are not welcome!!

Which of the following handles more cargo than any other port in the world?
A) Rotterdam, the Netherlands
B) Antwerp, Belgium
C) London, EnglandWhich of the following handles more cargo than any other port in the world?
It depends on how you measure it but out of the three then it is definately A) Rotterdam
Shanghai %26amp; Singapore both lay claim to handle more cargo than Rotterdam per year though. You can read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_bus鈥?/a>

I really don't think you want one to drive down the street here. I had one ( the one sold here was called a Westcoaster ) - it had very little power and was absolutely terrible when it comes to fuel economy. I think it was like 22 horse power and had a five gallon gas tank. My rider lawn mower is more economical. It was fun but seeing the true character of the vehicle , I sold it to my workplace for an inter-plant carry all. The ones you have associated with India have smaller engine- transmissions (some 2-cycle) and pollute the air imminsely.

How do i get to the brake bulb on a wells cargo trailer?
you cant its all one unit change the hole thingHow do i get to the brake bulb on a wells cargo trailer?
i don't thinkit's one unit but if your able to take the housing appart just take the bulb to an auto store and the'll find it for youHow do i get to the brake bulb on a wells cargo trailer?
I think you can take them out of the rubber trim... after that you can look at changing the unit out or the bulb.
They use different taillights in these trailers at different times. Most are mounted in rubber mounts and push out. You just replace the plastic unit that pushes out. You also may want to do both at the same time as there are new LED replacement units out now that are far better and brighter than the old ones. I just built a 50 foot in closed -NAS CAR TRAILER - and used all LED lights in it and you can see a big difference..

Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
It depends which airline and which airport and who you organised the flight through. If it is a small airport sometimes they come straight into the luggage area (not on the carousel though, lol). In larger airports pets are usually handled by the airline's freight department which is usually in a different building, even sometimes away from the airport.
But don't stress, if you have already booked the flight, contact whoever you booked through. If you haven't, make sure you ask when you are booking. It'll be fine.Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
First of all, what is the size of your dog? If it is a small dog--get a Sherpa bag. Most airlines will allow you to travel with a small dog and place it under the seat. If it is a larger sized dog, it will need to be crated and put in with the cargo area. There are special rules and reguolations for all of this. FAA also has restrictions on when a live animal can fly. Also, I highly suggest you call the airline. If you havent--and plan to fly with your dog--this won't work. There are proceedures you must follow.
Keep in mind, If your dog IS A SERVICE DOG for the disabled, then it can travel with you--in the cabin.
If your dog will need to go under in cargo, consult with your vetnarian for any pre-flight dos and don'ts etc.
Good luck Hope this helps.Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
If he is traveling as checked baggage, you will pick him up near the luggage carousel or at the airline's desk near the carousel. If he is flying as unaccompanied cargo, you will have to go to the cargo area which is generally not in the terminal.
They are good to give you directions. They will tell you when you check him in, and when you land..Don't worry.
You can recieve him in the oversize cargo area like where u get your baggage...no worries
ask the airline!???

absolutely. in my office we can wear capris too, but I would check to make sure about those. Are light tan cargo khaki pants considered casual business attire?
Absolutely they are...they would only look bad if you wear something like a 1980's Van Halen concert shirt with them. Otherwise, paired with a nice dress shirt they are a good choice for casual attire.
Most definitely. Just make sure you don't make it to casual. Wear a polo or simple collard shirt.
no, they are considered business casual.. not business.

Obviously, buy cheap and sell for more! The profit potential comes from the fluctuations (changes) in the currency exchange market.

Obviously, buy cheap and sell for more! The profit potential comes from the fluctuations (changes) in the currency exchange market.

What does stripping mean? in ballasting operations on cargo ships.?
ballasting operations on board ships. have ballasting and stripping lines. what is stripping? What does stripping mean? in ballasting operations on cargo ships.?
HA HA - Some good answers! Stripping tanks, cargo tanks or ballast tanks, is the process by getting the very last drop out of the ships tanks. There are different types of pumps available on board ships. some have individual deep-well pumps in each tank. others have main pumps in a pump-room and can connect to each tank via lines (pipes) Stripping lines are typically smaller diameter and some ships actually have stripping pumps - usually piston type pumps for stripping tanks. Some cargoes do not require the use of stripping pumps/lines. Hope this helps! What does stripping mean? in ballasting operations on cargo ships.?
Stripping is completely cleaning out the ballast tanks. When you've taken on ballast in some place with Zebra mussels or some other contaminant that you can't dump back into the ocean, you have to strip the tanks.
Stripping is the process of taking off your clothes in a seductive manner to arouse your mate.
Ships use sea water to fill their ballast tanks. sea water introduces aquatic invasions.Stripping is a term used for removing any organisms that may have entered the ballast tanks.Ballast may be pumped on board the ship in one part of the world and discharged in another part of the world introducing unwanted sea life.
It means you have to take paper of the wall! Like thin strips!
GOOD LUCK!

Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
there is a cargo net in the final obstacle course, in the US i think it's 30m, UK i think a little shorter.
forgive me, but it just doesn't look that hard! yet all the contenders, even Trojan, seem to have serious difficulty with it, and are often exhausted after climbing it.
help me out here...is it not just like climbing a ladder??Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
No, it's not just like climbing a ladder. A ladder is rigid, a cargo net is not, so it moves around quite a bit, which makes climbing it much harder. On a ladder, all of the force that you exert with your legs to push up is used to push you up, because the ladder doesn't move. On a cargo net however, a lot of the force that you exert with your legs to push up is lost making the net tight enough that you actually move. Then there's the fact (this is where I think Trojan had the most difficulty) that because the ropes move on you, if you aren't really careful, you can simply put your foot through the net if you aren't right on target.
The US cargo net in Season 1 (currently airing in the UK) was 20 feet. The Cargo Net in the US Season 2 (which I believe that you guys will see around december) is 30 feet tall.Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
it is part of an obstacle course and think its climbing the rope combined with the other things they have to do is what tires them out
hahahaha thats so funny.. im in the uk and always on the edge of my seat when they cant get up the cargo net.. they are ****.. thats ur answer... it really isnt hard
Are you serious? Try climbing one and then answer you own question!

06 Lincoln LT how to lift up/ remove cargo bed cover?
I recently received this truck and I'm going on a camping trip this weekend. I don't know how to life up the cover on the cargo bed in order to fill it with materials that i will need for the weekend. thanks.06 Lincoln LT how to lift up/ remove cargo bed cover?
the LT did not come with a cover. someone had to have put it on. i know because i installed one for the dealer. most covers have a key hole in the top to unlock it. i have seen 1 or 2 that you had to drop the tail gate first and open it from the inside. removing them is simply unbolting the cover once you have it open.

How would I go about applying to fly cargo planes ( c-5 galaxy& c-17 globemaster 3 ) in the air force?
First you will need a commison and depending on your AFQOT scorces will determine if you have the apptitude to become a pilot. For the sake of argument you get accepted into pilot training you will start out it T-37s/T-38s etc. Depending on how you graduate from pilot training and the overall needs of the air force will determine what aircraft you will fly.How would I go about applying to fly cargo planes ( c-5 galaxy%26amp; c-17 globemaster 3 ) in the air force?
get a bachelor's degree and go in an officer, apply for flight school and hope you get the airframe you wantHow would I go about applying to fly cargo planes ( c-5 galaxy%26amp; c-17 globemaster 3 ) in the air force?
First and foremost you have to be an air force officer. (Apply to and attend ROTC or Air Force Academy) Then you have to apply to and be accepted to flight school. I believe to get to fly the aircraft of your choice, you have to graduate flight school in the top 10%. Otherwise you probably get what you're dealt.

It is just like climbing a Rope ladder yes, but not a solid one!
The thing with climbing flexible things like that is that your legs end up pushing the rope/rungs away from you, so that you end much more horizontal than vertical, and using your arms a lot more than your legs. This is basically the same as climbing an overhang in rock climbing, which if you've ever tried it, is definitely a lot more difficult than climbing vertical or forward-sloping rock!Gladiators: what's so hard about climbing the cargo net?
You would think so, but having tried it, its actually the flexability in it that creates the difficulty. The fact that it sways back and forth means that you arent able to apply perfectly downward pressure, ( in order to push yourself up) as you would a solid ladder, this slows your progress down and bad technique shows more the quicker you attempt to do it.
Try it, my friend. It is hader than you might imagine. A ladder doesn't flex and swing to absorb your energy and deflect the direction of your thrust.default myspace

Why don't we put all Gitmo prisnrs in a C130, fly it over Mecca n at 30,000 ft open cargo door n dump um?
An excellent fate for these thugs and terrorists. And NO I did not mention anything about providing them with parachutes. Why don't we put all Gitmo prisnrs in a C130, fly it over Mecca n at 30,000 ft open cargo door n dump um?
Heck yeah!
Nothing promotes democracy like completely circumventing due process of law!
Now don't you feel like a man?
ADDED: Hey Coasty: Actually, since they were FINALLY declared ';enemy combatants'; in June '08 (better late than never), they are entitled to protection under Common Article 3 of the Geneva Convention (that you're so familiar with).
Common Article 3 describes minimal protections which must be adhered to by all individuals within a signatory's territory during an armed conflict not of an international character (regardless of citizenship or lack thereof): Noncombatants, combatants who have laid down their arms, and combatants who are hors de combat (out of the fight) due to wounds, detention, or any other cause shall in all circumstances be treated humanely, including prohibition of outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment. The passing of sentences must also be pronounced by a regularly constituted court, affording all the judicial guarantees which are recognized as indispensable by civilized peoples. Article 3's protections exist even though no one is classified as a prisoner of war.
Having ';terrorist suspects'; or anyone else held at Gitmo is the worst thing the US has done since the Japanese Internment camps of WW II. How can the US claim to be a ';becon of democracy'; when they forcibly withhold basic human rights from other human beings?
And even if they are guilty of fighting against the US or planning attacks against the US, they should face a court of law for their actions. Otherwise, they should be released or turned over to their government.
If the US is serious about fighting a so-called ';Global War on Terror';, the best weapon they can use is to set the proper example, not succumb to the level of the perceived terrorists.
And yes, I'm a 12 year Army combat vet who got out because I, like thousands of other US service members, wasn't going to fight in the BS war in Iraq. Why don't we put all Gitmo prisnrs in a C130, fly it over Mecca n at 30,000 ft open cargo door n dump um?
Because most of them have not even been accused of anything let alone convicted. Most are being held simply for questioning to try and extract information that they probably don't have (that's why they are being held at Gitmo).
Can't exactly go around claiming to be the leaders of the free world and standing up for freedom, justice and democracy and then murder a bunch of people who probably have not done anything. That would be the Chimpanzee part of the brain at work.
Hey suits me. We should do so right now.
Hey Heart of Darkness: We have the legal right to execute them right now because they were taken on the field of battle with no uniform. If you are what you claim then you will have heard of the Geneva Convention. Under the laws of war they are not even due a trial.
If our country does that it will be like the dictator of Chile did it in the 70麓s when he was in power. The CIA will be using an oil ship to take them around the world until any country wants them.
Oh, i got a better idea! We tell them that we're moving them to another camp, but first they need to take a shower. but instead of showers, they get gassed! Cool huh?
In other words, NO.
We could put them into DC9's and drop them into a volcano and then detonate a large hydrogen bomb.

Question about military heli pilot or cargo pilot?which one is easier to get in?
hello im wondering what would the easiest spot to get into the army a helicopter pilot (blackhawk, chinook etc) or like a cargo plane pilot (c-130,c-17) they are both my dream jobs but which one would be easier NOT TO FLY just the spot.........?Question about military heli pilot or cargo pilot?which one is easier to get in?
Hard to say... neither one is an immediate position. First of all, if you don't have 20/20 vision, they won't consider you, you have to meet their physical and mental qualifications, you have to be an officer, and the training (after Basic and Tech school) is at least 2 years. Also, plane and helicopter training is different. I believe you'd have to do the plane training anyways before even considering the helicopter training. It's much different and more strict than the civilian world.Question about military heli pilot or cargo pilot?which one is easier to get in?
There are a lot more Blackhawks and Chinooks than there are Hercules and Globemasters. Simple number of vacancies would indicate it is easier to fly Army rotary wing aviation. That, and it does not require a commission.
You take a flight aptitude test to see if the military might possibly train you. The lower scores typically fly the big stupid aircraft like the CH-47, if your highly motivated and highspeed you might score enough to fly the UH-60 or even the AH-64
in the army you can fly choppers but the army does not have any thing bigger then a 5 passenger recon plane. no 130 141 c1a's not evan any more c119's

i know that being red-green colorblind makes me unable to fly fighter jets for the US Airforce but am i able to fly helicopters, supply aircraft, cargo jets, air refulers, and UAVs? You are not eligible. I am so sorry, I think it is honorable that you want to serve your country. Keep trying.I'm red-green colorblind, does this make me unable to fly helicopters cargo planes or UAVS for the air force?
Hello Pierce,
Yes, I do believe that you are not eligible to fly. You have to NOT be color-blind.
Your best bet is to visit an Air Force officer recruiter and discuss color-blindness with them.
';You鈥檒l be subjected to a battery of physical, psychological and background tests, including a Flying Class I physical.
Aspiring pilots must be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, but no more than 6 feet 5 inches tall, and they cannot be overweight.
Vision can be no worse than 20/50 in either eye.
If you鈥檙e colorblind, have problems with depth perception or have had laser eye surgery, you鈥檒l be disqualified.
Other disqualifications include a history of hay fever, asthma or allergies after the age of 12.';
';While color vision is tested at Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS), normal color vision is not a requirement to join the U.S. Military.
However, many military jobs require normal color vision. This is because there is some operational or safety aspect of the job that requires one to be able to distinguish between colors (indicator lights, smoke flares, etc.). Because of this, color vision requirements are not waiverable for military jobs which require normal color vision.
The military defines ';normal color vision'; by use of one of three tests: the Pseudoisochromatic Plate (PIP) Set, Farnsworth Lantern (FALANT), or the OPTEC 900 Color Vision Tester. You don't get to choose which test to use. It depends on what is in use at the particular MEPS where you have your physical.
The Pseudoisochromatic Plates are painted pictures showing an assemblage of color dots with a number in the middle made with different colored dots. To pass this test, you can have no more than four errors in the 14 plate set.
The Farnsworth Lantern involves colored signal lights that have to be identified from a distance. Two lights are shown at once, and the person being tested must identify the color (red, green, or white). The lights, however, are darkened with a filter to prevent people who are colorblind from being able to tell colors apart by their brightness. To pass this test you can have no errors.
The OPTEC 900 Color Vision Tester a modern version of the Farnsworth Lantern Test. Subjects are presented with pairs of red, white, and green lights and are required to name the colors. Like the Farnsworth Lantern, you must name the colors with no errors in order to pass this test.
Some military jobs (mostly in the Army and Marine Corps) only require red/green color discrimination. This means you could still qualify for that job if you fail the color vision test, but show the ability to be able to distinguish between vivid green and vivid red.';
Best wishes.

If a plane crashes and there is a dead body in the cargo hold, is the dead body counted as one of the dead??
he didnt die in the crash, so how is the dead person listed? If a plane crashes and there is a dead body in the cargo hold, is the dead body counted as one of the dead??
Initially the body would probably be listed in the overall body count. When the flight manifest and cargo manifest are consulted, the body would then be removed from the body count list.
The body count is the number of dead as a result of the crash. If a plane crashes and there is a dead body in the cargo hold, is the dead body counted as one of the dead??
Dead cargo.
I hate to say it, but he's probably listed as cargo.
When bodies are counted he is listed as a dead body.
The report would look like this:
***** Flight 8335 *****
February 26, 2006
Leaving from: Paris
Going to: NYC
Emergency landing on Route 95 north.
Injured: 85
*Killed: 28
Missing: 3
* One body in casket in cargo hold

Pick any country that flags ships and those are the countries involved. However, unlike the US these other countries merely send cash to these muslim terrorist rather than dealing with them on a criminal basis.
In a way all these ';victim'; countries have encourage this criminal behavior. To the point that these criminal actually believe that they are running a business...
And as far as I know, No O'Bama has not 'sent' troops after them. That would take initiative and the Chicago community planner doesn't have much of that...

I need to find instructions for a Rubbermaid cargo topper..?
Cant find any info at the Rubbermaid site or anywhere else. Just need instructions on how it connects to the car. I dont have a roof rack, do I need one for this carrier?I need to find instructions for a Rubbermaid cargo topper..?
A lot of cargo carriers attach by straps to the drip rail that runs above the driver and passenger side windows of your car. Look to see if you carrier has straps with some metal latches attached.
If not, check to see if there are slots along the edge of the carrier cover where it appears straps can be attached. If there are, you can probably make straps long enough to work for you. You would typically need at least four -- two on each side of the carrier.
Also, it is probably wise to put a blanket or some type of soft liner between the carrier and the top of your car to prevent or at least reduce any scratching of your car roof.

Is mainstream religion all that different from a Cargo Cult?
A cargo cult is any of a group of unorthodox religious movements appearing in tribal societies in the wake of Western impact, especially in New Guinea and Melanesia. Cargo cults sometimes maintain that manufactured western goods (';cargo';) have been created by divine spirits and are intended for the local indigenous people, but that white people have unfairly gained control of these objects. Cargo cults thus focus on overcoming what they perceive as undue 'white' influences by conducting rituals similar to the white behavior they have observed, presuming that the ancestors will at last recognize their own and send them cargo. Thus a characteristic feature of cargo cults is the belief that spiritual agents will at some future time give much valuable cargo and desirable manufactured products to the cult members. In other instances such as on the island of Tanna in Vanuatu, cult members worship Americans who brought the cargo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cargo_cultsIs mainstream religion all that different from a Cargo Cult?
Well... no they aren't a whole lot different. Both are wishing for something, but at least the cargo dudes have a slim chance to getting their desire. Cargo ship are real, aren't they...

.Is mainstream religion all that different from a Cargo Cult?
Yes and No all religions are at there root the same and all are a response to the same human phyche that is universal despite local cultural differances. The one thing they have in common is that they are all attempts by the human brain to describe what cannot be understood. They are all attempts to describe the trancendent. They all touch it but none can actualy do it. None of them have anything to dowith GOD. I could worship you. I can make up all kinds of rituals to please you. You might never even know it. YOU might find that it is silly. But that does not mean YOU do not exist.
If your trying to disprove God by the Rituals of men who have no idea what there doing then your on the wrong track. None of them have anything to do with God.
Exept the desire to know the desire to be byond our selfs. THat is what seperates us from the animals.
No difference, mainstream just means they were able to brainwash more people.
All religions are cargo cults, in my opinion.
Boy,you know a lot! Yeah we heard all about it. There was also an African movie with the same theme in the 80's. What's your point, other than that it's Saturday and you don't have a date?default myspace

Is Wells Cargo now building a frac tank trailer?
I have heard this rumor as well. I am not sure if it is true or not. According to wells cargo web site they don't offer one on the site. However Oil field frac tanks is offering frac trailer built by a '; major trailer manufacturer';. I think it is also interesting that oil field frac tanks is in Utah and one of Wells Cargo's 6 locations is in Ogden utah. But they also have a plant in Elkhart, IN which is within 1 day drive to 3 major oil fields. North Dakota being the largest. So will be interesting to see if they are building them because they are so big and could very well take the majority share in the market.

it all depends on your lines scores. I am assuming the 44 is your QT score. You need a 88 in the General Maintenance (GM) area of the ASVAB. Your recruiter should be able to tell you this.

Traveling internationally with a cat? Cabin or cargo?
I'm traveling from Morocco to the U.S. with a cat next week and I'm incredibly nervous - I've taken care of all the requirements, so that isn't an issue, but I'm really concerned about the flight.
First, we have a layover in Europe - so is it safe to put the cat in cargo? She's small enough (as is her carrier) for the cabin but we weren't able to reserve ahead (long story) for her place - also, she's calm but meows A LOT and I'm worried about taking her in the cabin because of that.
Lastly, should I give her a tranq or not? It's expensive through our vet, so I don't want to buy it unless it's a necessity.
Can anyone ease my fears about cat travel?Traveling internationally with a cat? Cabin or cargo?
When I moved from England to Cyprus, I brought my 17 year old cat with me and air-line regulations stated that she travelled in the hold, which is a separate, heated area away from where the luggage is stored. The carrier will have to be airline approved, and should be large enough that she can lay down in comfort. Furrari make good ones with plastic food %26amp; water dishes which clip to the bars of the door. My cat was fine after a 5 hour flight, and quickly settled into our new home with no problems whatsoever.
When I later moved to France for 8 months, she was allowed to travel in the cabin, but I paid extra so that she could have her own seat. She was quiet during the flight and actually went to sleep for a while. I guess as far as she was concerned, it was no different than us being at home together on the sofa. I know that not all airlines will allow you to buy a seat for your pet, and many of them insist that the pet is stored beneath the seat during the flight. Check with the airline exactly what size carrier will fit under the seat, as you don't want your cat to feel cramped.
I would take into consideration, the size of your cat and the length of your flights. I would make her comfort during the flight my priority.
My vet in the UK recommended against the use of any kind of sedative whatsoever. He explained to me that it can make the cat feel disorientated and that if there is any air turbulence during the flight, that my cat wouldn't be able to steady herself in her box. (Some cats have been injured during flights because of this).
If you do decide to transport her in the hold, line the box with several inches of shredded paper and an old towel, so that if she does get caught short, the paper will absorb any urine. If the box is large enough, she'll be able to move away from the damp patch. Also put a sticker on the box with her name, your flight details and a note asking someone to offer her water during the stop over.
Whatever option you choose, hope all goes well for you.Traveling internationally with a cat? Cabin or cargo?
keep her with u no cargo u will b away from her to long not knowing how she is being treated by others, i would put her to sleep for the flight and keep her with me
I have flown with my cat on a flight from the US to Amsterdam. It wasn't a big deal, although I was able to reserve her place on the flight beforehand. I think she was glad to stay with me. I wasn't too concerned about any noise she would make since other people bring really noisy children on flights all the time. They don't feel badly since those are their babies and since my cat is my baby i didn't feel badly either :) Most people thought she was cute anyway. I also took her out and held her on my lap for awhile which I'm sure I wasn't supposed to do but nobody got mad at me.
I would worry about the cat going to the bathroom in cargo. Would she have a place to use the cat box? That's a long flight for the cat either to hold it or sit in her/his own waste. When I flew with my cat, I brought along one of those tiny litter box things and she and I made 2 trips to the bathroom (one in flight and one during a transfer in London).
I didn't drug my kitty because I was worried about the health implications. I did bring along some of her favorite treats (bits of shrimp and crab) and fed them to her throughout the flight. That did an ok job of calming her down but my cat loves food more than most...
Good luck!
Maybe the cat can go another route that is safer. I cannot imagine putting a cat in a cargo department where it is cold and air is scarce. The poor thing will be scared to death. I know I wouldnt want to be in the cargo department for such a trip. Think the situation over. I hope you change your mind. And if you do it, the cost of the tranquilizer should be your last thought.
i would suggest the tranq they usually stay asleep long enough for you to pick them up at baggage claim. other reason is so you dont have to worry about poop, pee, vomit or food and water
Things change very fast in the airline industry. Perhaps the link I have provided can give you the most up to date information.
Tranqs are usually contraindicated. You want your cat alert to handle anything that happens, such as being bounced around.
I would not put the cat in cargo. You're at the mercy of the airport personal if you do that and not all of them care if your pet lives or dies.
No one has yet asked you why you would want to take a cat internationally, so I will. Is this for an extended trip (month or more) or a permanent move? Otherwise your kitty may appreciate staying at home more-Can you hire someone to cat sit? I know my cat would not be a good candidate for flight as she meows very loudly and loves staying at home, guarding her territory. Just ask my two brothers who drove our cat when we moved from Atlanta to our current home in the midwest--they nearly went out of their minds with her meowing! I know if I were to board a plane and had to listen to a cat's incessant meows, even though I adore cats, I would be more than a little irritated. And since it seems that cats do not react well with tranquilizers in the air, I am wondering if you can't make other arrangements for your kitty while you are away? But if necessary, put her in the cargo hold in a nice area meant for animals with a good crate and hope for the best!
I traveled with several cats to the Dominican Republic. We were allowed one cat in the cabin, so one was with us and the others were in cargo.
Don't give them tranq. because it often has an opposite effect and makes them freak out.
When cats are scared they curl up and ignore everything.
If the temperature is ok, not too hot or too cold, they will do OK in cargo probably. Sometimes cats get lost just like other baggage.
For your own peace of mind, probably best to keep her with you on board. Maybe there will be an opening for a cat on board. You can ask the airline to notify you if there is a cancellation.
Airlines have a limit of the total pets allowed, and your flight may have reached that limit.
If you are really worried, ask if you can change your reservation to a date when there is room for your cat in the cabin.
The odds are that your cat will be OK in cargo. Many animals travel that way. There are rules about temperature and availability of water for the animal.
--
I traveled to Morocco from U.S. with my cat. I took her in cabin. But my cat is not one that makes a lot of noise when traveling. She didn't make a peep the whole way.
I think if you bring her in cabin it is best but if she makes a lot of noise you may have a problem with the crew and other passengers. I'd ask the airline you are traveling with what they do in that circumstance. If you decide to let her in cargo I'd verify over and over again that it they have an area for pets, not all planes do.
As far as the tranquilizer. It is NOT a good idea to give a cat one while flying. It can actually have a negative effect on their breathing which can result in death.

Sinking cargo ship devon lifeboat volunteers got all the crew off safe?
these men must be very brave would any of you do itSinking cargo ship devon lifeboat volunteers got all the crew off safe?
It is difficult for most people to say if they would or would not, you never know how you are going to act in an emergency, until it happens, and then sometimes you surprise yourself.
I would like to think I would, and feel that I would.Sinking cargo ship devon lifeboat volunteers got all the crew off safe?
All Lifeboat crews put the lives of those in danger at sea before their own and think its more duty than bravery, and its comforting to know that there are people such as these who will risk their own lives to preserve those of others and will answer the call at anytime in any weather, and lets not forget those other brave souls the Helicopter search and rescue crews who also assist on these missions.
i would but i can't swim...
I honestly dont think im brave enough to save lives in this manner. I'll stick to trying to save lives as a nurse.

very brave men.
not a hope...... I've spent time working at sea, seen some bloody rough weather. i feel no shame in admitting, i would not have the guts to go out in some of the storms these heroic people do over and over again, to save others life true unsung hero's one and all.

I heard someone say that cargo shorts are outdated. Is that true? If it is, why do they still sell them all over the place?

Can I rent a plane to transport cargo?
Hello
I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about renting a plane or using a plane to move cargo only not passangers. Its for a shipping company. the plane will be going out of the contry. thanksCan I rent a plane to transport cargo?
If you are asking about renting a plane and flying it yourself, the answer is NO, not if any money changes hands. You need a government issued aircraft charter certificate for that.
However, I believe what you are actually asking to do is charter an aircraft and pilots for the purpose of moving your cargo. There are quite a number of companies that specialize in hauling freight. While you can contact some of them directly, you might use a frieght forwarder to set it up for you. This will be a good place to start your research:
http://www.avchart.com/air-freight-chart鈥?/a>Can I rent a plane to transport cargo?
Yes. Look for ';cargo charter'; in your area.
How practical it is depends on where you are, where you need the shipment to go, and how much you can spend.
I think ';Jim M'; was referring to Kalitta Air Transport.
Try looking up aircraft charter and leasing services either in Google or in your local telephone book. But the second poster may well be right.
Yes Kalattia air freight owned by Connie Kalattia he has 747 and smaller one too.

Rear cargo carpet replacement?
I have a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and the dead battery in the back of my car spilled and ate some nice size holes in the carpet. I was wondering if anyone knew the approximate cost of new carpet from the dealership, and how hard it would be for someone to install the carpet themselves?Rear cargo carpet replacement?
about $100 for replacement carpeting for the front of mine same year same problem but this was happened in 2003. I installed it myself and I didn't have any problems except cutting it to size since the carpeting they sold me didn't fi quite right. When I traded it in they didn't mention that it looked replaced or knock anything off for it.Rear cargo carpet replacement?
You can ck by going to JC Whitney online. Free catalog and they will even answer a ? by e-mail. The carpet will come molded to the shape of your cargo area so by taking off the plastic molding, marking them or laying them out on the driveway in the order taken out is not a very hard task. I have taken out and replaced headliners the same way but I would much rather do a cargo area. You'll do fine!

According to Wikipedia:
Because of budgetary limitations and the pressure to create television animation within a tight time frame, the show was the first to use the ';Syncro-Vox'; optical printing system. Syncro-Vox was invented by television cameraman, and partner in Cambria Studios, Edwin Gillette (1909-2003) as a means of superimposing real human mouths on the faces of animals for the popular ';talking animal'; commercials of the 1950s. Clutch Cargo employed the Syncro-Vox technique by superimposing live-action human lips over limited-motion animation or even motionless animation cels.
To further cut costs, Gillette and special-effects man, Scotty Tomany supplemented Syncro-Vox with other time- and money-saving tricks. Haas explained, ';We are not making animated cartoons. We are photographing 'motorized movement' and-- the biggest trick of all-- combining it with live action. This enables us to produce film at about one-fifth what it costs Hanna and Barbera. Footage that Disney does for $250,000 we do for $18,000.';
Man, just thinking about this show again gives me the heebee jeebees. I would have gladly paid them however much it would have cost for them to animate the mouths.

Why are Abercrombie and Fitch cargo shorts with the draw string hems look HOT on us guys?
I am a straight guy (or atleast think I am), but sometimes I see a guy wearing A%26amp;F cargos and think that he looks good in them. Especially wear them with a AE or A%26amp;F tshirt or polo and some tennis shoes. Are there other guys out there that think like I do? Those shorts are hot on guys and the shirts or polos to are very hot. Maybe you are bi or just have good taste in guys
You are so suspect they don't even need the jury on this one!
Oh my gosh alot of guys wear abercrombie. That means there a prep. But some people call them frat boys. But don't listen to the people that call them frat boys.

I agree that those shorts look pretty nice on guys (though I am a girl ;) I don't think its abnormal for you appreciate some nice clothes complimenting someone of the same sex. Girls do it why can't guys? Id say your just comfortable with your sexuality which means you have alot more personality then the average man.
They dont. And Abercrombie is for clones.
I love their cargo shorts. They look great on guys. I'm not a dude but i have to admit, they look comfortable.
And Abercrombie isn't for clones either. Whoever says that is too stereotypical.

If one wants to be the captain of a vessel that operates cargo , what are some of the requirements ? ?
If you just want to get a boat and sail around what are some of the legal requirments for that OR if you are interested in operating a cargo boat what are some of the requirments for that ? If one wants to be the captain of a vessel that operates cargo , what are some of the requirements ? ?
It depends on what you mean by a ';cargo boat';. Most crew boats and launches are less than 100 tons and operate in inland waters (as the Coast Guard defines that), so a 100 ton Inland license requires 360 days of sea time, and about three weeks worth of classes. If one wants to be the captain of a vessel that operates cargo , what are some of the requirements ? ?
If you want to just operate a car and drive around or if you want to drive a SEMI... what are some of the requirements?
Your question makes as much sense.
Any fool can buy a small boat and sail it around while they insist everyone calls them ';Captain';... but if you want to be in charge of a CARGO SHIP... which requires AN UNLIMITED LICENSE... it will take about 10 YEARS MINIMUM to work up through the licenses and 20 YEARS is closer to what it takes before some company puts YOU in charge of a 50,000 METRIC TON SHIP.
About seven year's of experience as an ordinary seaman, able seaman, third mate, second mate and chief mate. You must be examined at every level by the U S Coast Guard. The hardest part is getting the jobs to get the experience. Having a relative who is a ship owner or high official in a shipping company would be helpful.

Some kits from the dealer include a template to show you exactly where to put the holes. To use this template there are installation directions that are available to the techs at Honda. You could call the dealer to see if they'll give you a copy. If they won't, I would recommend having the dealer install it. You could put it in yourself and it will work fine, but I prefer to have it done exactly the way the dealer would (I'm a freak like that, I do all of the scheduled service at my dealer). How to install a trunk cargo net in a 2002 civic 4 door problem where to drill into trunk floor ?

What is a forwarders cargo receipt, issued by whom ?
It is basically a transport document issued by a freight forwarder and acts as a receipt for the cargo, and evidence of a contract between the shipper and the forwarder. It is not a document of title.
The forwarder assumes responsibility for your cargo by issuing the FCR.

Can a queen size mattress fit in a dodge grand caravan cargo space?
renting a grand caravan and need to know if a mattress 62x80'; will fit in the back with the seats down. Can a queen size mattress fit in a dodge grand caravan cargo space?
noCan a queen size mattress fit in a dodge grand caravan cargo space?
Not usually as you have to take into consideration the thickness of the mattress. Grand Caravans are simply longer than the standard caravan, not wider.
Old ones are thinner and it probably won't matter if you bend them a bit.
New ones should be transported without folding or bending, especially for warranty considerations. Some are even recommended that they are shipped flat
Wrap it well, mattress bags are available at mattress retailers or at UHaul, and use a truck.
You will likely have a new mattress longer than you will own your vehicle.

Don't think so... a double should though.
If you're renting it, ask the rental company what the measurements are in the back with the seats down.

Weight ability for cargo in tahoe?
How much weight can be loaded into the back of a 2003 if loaded properly? I'm looking for the actual number in pounds that can go in a tahoe without damaging it.Weight ability for cargo in tahoe?
The Tahoe is based on the C/K-1500 and, as I understand things, uses the same springs and dampers, with the stabilizer bars resized for the wheelbase. I would consider 500# a reasonable max load behind the 2nd-row bench, as any load behind the axle tends to lighten up the front end.Weight ability for cargo in tahoe?
tahoe is based on 1/2 ton truck 1000 pounds..including people...
When the rear tires rub the inside fender wells add another 500 lbs then stop that should be about right.
That would be a good question to email GM and have then give you an answer rather then us trying to guess.

What hurts less when paintballing, jeans or cargo trousers?
i am going paintballing for the first time and was wondering what to wear. the weather is supposed to be quite nice so don't want to get too hot, but i also don't want to get too many bruises.
also what shoes would you recommend for in the woods?
thanks xxWhat hurts less when paintballing, jeans or cargo trousers?
shorts are a bad idea. Getting shot on bare skin hurts. Plus you'll be laying in the dirt and crawling and stuff. Pants. Wear them.
Boots of some sort. Hiking boots are best. Running shoes if you dont have anything else.
You will have fun, its exciting. What hurts less when paintballing, jeans or cargo trousers?
Doubling up layers is not a good idea, especially jeans, as jeans are a bit restrictive, and being unable to move less means you'll just get shot more. Wear comfortable clothing that gives you room to stretch, squat, crawl %26amp; otherwise move around.
Where whatever shoes you normally would in the woods. Light hiking boots would be fine or some old sneakers. Key for footwear is good traction without weight.
Buy a shirt that is a size or two too big. Jeans will work, but you may want to wear more than one pair if you're really worried. Any kind of old shoes will work, but cleats would be best, and a hat helps a lot. Having something that is somewhat protective on your head is always nice, or at least something to protect your forehead.
I only remember shots above the waist being painful. Wear a thick shirt too.
also what shoes would you recommend for in the woods?
thanks xxWhat hurts less when paintballing, jeans or cargo trousers?
shorts are a bad idea.
Having something that is somewhat protective on your head is always nice, or at least something to protect your forehead.

A video game company sends out shipments to its various stores with a mean cargo size of 75 games and a standard deviation of 4.8 games. What is the probability a store chosen at random will receive a shipment of between 65 and 85 games?A video game company sends out shipments to its various stores with a mean cargo size of 75 games and...?
z= (x - mu)/sigma
For x=85,
z=(85-75)/4.8 = 2.08333
For x=65,
z=(65-75)/4.8 = -2.08333
By looking up the normal distribution table,
probability for z=2.08333 is 0.4812
Required probability= 0.4812 * 2 = 0.9624

Airline restrictions on size of dogs shipped cargo in US?
My daughter has a giant dog--Irish Wolfhound--that is just 1 year old and weighs around 100 lbs. She wants to fly him home with her to visit us for Xmas--from San Diego to Chicago! The dog is an absolute sweetheart, but not well-socialized. Very shy and afraid of strangers, used to being alone while she at work. I think this is a bad idea and I want her to get a dog sitter to come to the house for the week that she will be gone. I am willing to pay for the sitter ($60 per day for 2 times a day)--but does anyone know the cost of shipping a dog this large via air, the huge crate required, etc. I need some facts to back myself up. I love the dog and want what is best for him. Thanks for your opinions and help!Airline restrictions on size of dogs shipped cargo in US?
Shipping a dog is VERY traumatic! Go to http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/travel鈥?/a> to learn about the dangers of flying. You'll need to call the airline that your daughter is flying in on. The dog will be shipped cargo, IF they'll even take him due to his size. I have a friend that raises Saint Bernards and she cannot fly them because they are too big. I would definitely get the pet sitter, or even board him somewhere. It's just too risky to fly.Airline restrictions on size of dogs shipped cargo in US?

The first site is Delta Airlines, and second site is Continental Airlines, both have different prices listed according to weight.

i want to know about this whether the military how it can posesses weapons and where it produces? ( i know some place in eastearn europe but i am not sure)
Please share your thoughts and your knowledge in thisWhere nations buy armory/weaponary cargo from?
Lots of nations produce military hardware of various kinds both for domestic use and for export. The United States, Britain, France and Russia are the worlds largest arms exporters followed by countries like China, Israel, South Africa, Germany, Austria and Sweden.
Who buys what from where depends on who the buyer is and who makes the stuff.Where nations buy armory/weaponary cargo from?
Lots of tiny gnomes live in itty bitty mushroom shaped workshops and churn them out as if by magic.
Go watch the movie Lord of War. It'll give you some idea.

I want to fly from London Gatwick to Budapest with a cargo of 160+Kg how do I go about getting this?
You talk to the cargo handling side of teh airline.
You send it early.,
it goes seperately to arrive by a certain date, and
you go collect it at the airport when you arrive, etc
often it is good to use the airline doing the shipping to also do the flying.. but it does not have to be that way.. It is worth ringing around.

Flying with my dog where do i receive my dog in the airport if he travels with the cargo? help!!?
Baggage handlers usually let you pick up your dog from a special place where you pick up pets.Your dog will not come on the normal luggage belt.Don't worry they will take good care of your dog.default myspace

Why do we not have an extensive and efficient rail cargo system in the USA?
what we have is a limited coverage aging system
we have made massive investments in truck and air infrastructure but almost none in railWhy do we not have an extensive and efficient rail cargo system in the USA?
Good stuff above. I would take exception to the statement that most goods are transported by rail, at some point. ALL of it has been on a train at some point and in one form or another.
';We'; may have invested a lot of money in Interstate and highway infrastructure, including much seismic retrofitting in earthquake prone areas. Railroads must build and maintain their own infrastructure.
Our rail system is extremely efficient, especially the Class 1 carriers. For ton/miles per gallon of fuel, nothing comes even close. Inter-modal transport means cargo can ship by sea, load onto a train, then reach its final destination by truck. This saves a bunch of money for manufacturers, shippers and consignees, in that gone are the associated costs of warehousing and distribution to retailers.
As far as the system being in disrepair, this is only true amongst short lines that are short on cash, and infrequently used branch lines, most of which have been ';short lined'; by the original carrier. This was done primarily to bust the unions, as the employees on short lines are in large part not a party to existing collective bargaining agreements.
Government subsidies have only Amtrak as a recipient, as a rule.
So, wave at the crew the next time a train passes (with all of your fingers), because they are carrying the fuel, raw materials, food and hazmat that are going to be your next car, phone, meal, big screen TV, T-shirt, 6 pack, house, etc. The list is endless. Why do we not have an extensive and efficient rail cargo system in the USA?
We do have an extensive and efficient rail cargo system in the USA. Keep in mind that it is all private companies, that have invested heavily in the upkeep of tracks, engines, and a vast variety of freight cars. Much of the nations goods, imports and exports are carried by rail at some time in their journey.
The highway system helps the truckers, which are also vital to the movement of goods. Air is the most expensive mode of cargo transport and is only suited to small and high-end products or time sensitive shipments. Try shipping 400 tons of coal that way!
Do not confuse cargo transport and passenger transport. People don't like to take trains, vying for speed and convienience of auto and plane.
the money for bullet trains has been diverted into r%26amp;d for teleportation.
Do the dork that said Teleport, WRONG. We are pretty good with our cargo system.....but the Passenger service is what needs the most help.......As a matter of fact all Amtrak Trians within the next 3-5 years will all become High-Speed.
Uh... Actually we DO have a pretty good cargo system. It's the passenger support that's nearly non-existant.
Well, there aren't many rail lines that go across America. Those that do exist are usually being used by Amtrak, etc. We do have some rail cargo lines (e.g. BNSF). However, travel by train is not that fast, and it's not too efficient either. Yes, trucks are not that efficient, but they can go to many places that trains can't (like your house, for example).
That's why many shipping companies don't have trains. They have trucks, and they have airplanes. Airplanes can take cargo from the East coast to the West coast in less than 6 hours; this would take over 2 days by train. People just don't want to wait that long.

I would suggest that you contract on with a courier or expeditor in your area. There are many factors to considerif you go out on your own, including : you have to get a legal authority to operate (government red tape), cargo insurance, getting and keeping customers, just to name a few. With a courier service they take care of all that, all you do is drive and collect a check. I work as a courier in Ohio and it works out nicely. I own the van and pay all my fuel, etc. and get paid a percentage of what they charge. I pay $27.50 per week which covers cargo insurance, uniforms, and Nextels. Brokers are Ok but again, you have to have the legal authority to operate and often brokers are very slow about paying you. Also check out expediting companies such as FedEx Custom Critical. Go to www.expeditorsonline.com to check out that side of the industry. Couriers tend to run more local, expeditors are more long trips and living on the road.default myspace

Do you like Ryan air's great offers or would you prefer a cargo class flight on Aeroflop?
You buy cheap, you get cheap.I use them frequently. My son on the other hand will not fly with them on principle! lolDo you like Ryan air's great offers or would you prefer a cargo class flight on Aeroflop?
I fly ryanair to the Uk from Italy but I don't know if it's really worth it.
After all the friggin taxes and surcharges and other carap i have to pay, i might as well get a flight on another airline with bigger seats and higher weight limits on baggage.
The only reason i use them is because they fly out of my town and I can ride my bike to the airport!Do you like Ryan air's great offers or would you prefer a cargo class flight on Aeroflop?
Ryan Air is an obnoxious, money grabbing shambollox airline. They have the attitude of ';sod the punters, let's just get their cash ';. It is a toss up which is the worst, them or Easy Jet !
You'd get better customer service on aeroflop and possibly a more comfortable seat (on a cargo box)
i would rather pay more for my plane seat and would never fly easy jet or ryan air ....... they couldn't care less about their passengers
mind you BA have learned much from them over the past few years
Ryans prices are hot air when the add ons are included. A so called free flight to France, mysteriously becomes 拢75.
I've never had a problem with Ryanair or any other budget airline. I fly frequently. The only cancelled flight I've had was with BA.
